BET Hip Hop Awards 2014

             And the nominees Are....

Best Hip Hop Video
Drake - "Worst Behavior"

Drake at his worst was better than most rappers  at their best this year. Drizzy's "Worst Behavior" picked up a nomination for Best Hip Hop Video. It's one of eight awards that Drake is nominated for.

Best Collabo, Duo or Group
Eminem Feat. Rihanna - "The Monster"
Eminem had so much success with "The Monster" single featuring Rihanna that it helped power a summer tour of the same name with the two superstars. The hit record also earned him a nomination for Best Collabo.

Best Live Performer
Drake

His fifth annual OVO Fest and co-headlining Drake Vs Lil Wayne tour were just some of the times that Drake gave fans a memorable live show this year. It's why Drizzy leads an impressive group of MCs in the Best Live Performer category. Only one rhymer will take home the trophy.

Lyricist of the Year
Drake

Drake murdered every bar he spit this year, making himself a shoe-in for a Lyricist of the Year nomination, not to mention stirring up more anticipation for his upcoming Views from the 6 album.

DJ Mustard

DJ Mustard helped make YG a star this year before spreading the love to artists like T.I. and French Montana as well. As of right now, Mustard has that "It" sound on lockdown and is a definite threat to take the DJ of the Year award.

Album of the Year

Drake - Nothing Was The Same

Drake's Nothing Was The Same included hits like "Started from the Bottom;" "Worst Behavior;" "Hold on, We're Going Home" and "The Language." It more than holds its weight as an Album of the Year contender.

Hip Hop Video Director Benny Boom

Benny Boom was behind the lens on everything from Nicki Minaj's "High School" to Wale's "Clappers" in 2013, giving him the range to be nominated for Video Director of the Year.

Producer of the Year
DJ Mustard

How many times in the past few months have you heard the drop, "Mustard on the beat" attached to your favorite record? DJ Mustard is vying for Producer of the Year, having concocted records like YG's "My Hitta," "Who Do You Love?" and more recently T.I.'s "No Mediocre" and French Montana's "Don't Panic." Mustard has the streets' ear right now!

Track of the Year
"Cut Her Off" (Remix) - Produced by Will-A-Fool - (K Camp f/ Lil Boosie, YG, & Too $hort

Will-A-Fool's-concocted "Cut Her Off" for K Camp saw the likes of Lil Boosie, YG and Too $hort all keep their player hands strong over a catchy beat. It's one of five records nominated for Track of the Year.

MVP of the Year
DJ Mustard

From his work with YG and crafting the Compton rhyme slinger's No. 1 "My Hitta" record to becoming the go-to guy for beats, DJ Mustard has definitely made a strong case to win the MVP of the Year award.
